This project is a joint initiative of the Atlas of Living Australia and the Slopes2Summit (S2S) partnership. S2S is one of the five current partnership areas of the Great Eastern Ranges Initiative (GER). Each of the partnership areas is developing a local pilot project. Established in 2007, the S2S working group consists of nine participating organisations. The organisations are Nature Conservation Trust, Holbrook Landcare Network, Charles Sturt University, Murray Catchment Management Authority, Australian National University, CSIRO, Parklands Albury Wodonga, Albury Conservation Company, and the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage.
This project has gained the support of the following groups and organisations:
- NSW Department of Primary Industries (Catchments and Land)
- Woolshed Thurgoona Landcare Group
- National Environment Centre (Riverina Institute of Tafe)
- Trinity Anglican College, Thurgoona
More groups and organisations are anticipated to get involved over the coming months as the site becomes fully operational.
